Driving Smart Energy Management in Buildings
About
TEF BUILD focuses on leveraging Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) and advanced data analytics to facilitate better informed decision making. The node is based in Athens, Greece, and aims to achieve higher energy efficiency across private and public buildings.
Testing Infrastructure
The main partners include PPC and the City of Athens, that will provide access to various buildings and their energy systems, and also act as end users. Furthermore, NTUA will provide the computations resources for AI analytics, while together with DAEM, they will develop AI applications for optimisation, energy efficiency and flexibility management.
Physical
The physical infrastructure is provided by PPC and includes mainly the Innovation Hub, accompanied by an IT ecosystem. The City of Athens provides a portfolio of various building types, incorporating behind-the-meter smart meters and control capability.
